This is why I wanted Alleva to come out and make a statement. This is bullshite and we are just taking it lying down it seems.

Yup and as long we we take it it’ll keep happening. People who said O should have put Devin White in the game for kickoff against Bama and took the penalty to make a statement were laughed at. But it will take that and some brutal honesty and action frim the LSU admin to solve this.

Hell, Joe Alleva should hold a presser and tell the world LSU won that game and that for LSU’s own record keeping it was a 31-24 victory and a 10-2 season.

Unfortunately our current administration and the majority of our fans consists of pussies so this bullshite will keep happening.

I agree. You have to prove that you’re crazy enough to win a game of chicken to get the attention of people like this. A great example is former Memphis (then Memphis State) basketball coach Dana Kirk. During his first season, he literally forfeited a game over a bad call. I think they were playing Florida State, which was then in the Metro Conference with Memphis.

Anyway, he marched the team to half court after a disputed call and wouldn’t move. The officials threw him out and eventually called the game. When the game was reviewed by the conference, a funny thing happened. They agreed with Kirk. The refs were reprimanded and I believe suspended from officiating conference games. From them on, refs absolutely despised Kirk. He got Td up all the time and got tossed occasionally. But the refs also knew that he was crazy enough to call attention to their bullshite. They hated him, but they also knew they couldn’t push him around. He would push back. Dale Brown was a somewhat smarter and saner version of this in his heyday.

No one is forfeiting games to make a point anymore and Kirk really did have a screw loose. However, that same kind of mentality is necessary to impose your will on an organization like the SEC and it’s officials.
