When a business sees an opportunity for change in a large department, then hires someone to make that change. The expectation is that changes are made and goals are hit, if not, then there's a 99% that person moves on from that position either internally or externally.

This happens on the regular in business.

It isn't about "perfection," that's a worthless narrative. It's about hitting expectations and goals set out by the leadership, and by the person they hire.
