Yes there were terrible calls but a main factor for the loss in this game and bad plays in other games throughout the season is LSU playing aggressively when they are behind but becoming extremely conservative at critical times when they are ahead. This is true both offensively and defensively. LSU gave up many 3rd / 4th and long plays in several games during the season but they were not magnified because LSU won the games.

Well, what you think about LSU defense in the last play of regulation? That play was effectively a Hail Mary and was not defended as such.

We had multiple opportunities.
aTm was out of time outs on our last drive of regulation. Even I knew Burrow was going to keep it on third down. It wasn't a good call by Ensminger. Get the first down and the game is over.
aTm had to go a long way for that game tying TD and we couldn't stop them. It's a shame Mond's knee was on the ground on Delpit's INT but it was the right call.
It's like the D lost it's edge after that and wasn't focused.
But hey, the kids left it all on the field.
The officiating is another matter.

I guess Orgeron told Aranda not to!

I still can't understand why our DB was behind the WR. The catch was made 8 yards deep in the endzone and the DB was fricking behind him. At some point you have to realize you're deep enough and realize the ball might be thrown in front of you.

I partially agree. That isn't the only reason we lost. But we lack, and have for years, a killer instinct. At least on offense. I'd say at times on defense; the D makes plays, but doesn't really go for the kill either. The O does neither consistently.
