There is no question that the amnesty system in this country is overwhelmed and something has to be done to limit the number of people applying for amnesty.
So why doesn't Trump just say that and give some stats about how long it takes to get to court. About how many people are waiting. Real stats.
But he can't do that. Instead, he has to demonize the migrants. There are terrorists in the caravan, MS-13 members, a high percentage of criminals.
At heart, he is just a real estate developer. He has to oversell everything. He's been doing that for his whole adult life.
And his oversell jive has gotten old. That's why he has a 45% approval rating with a relatively good economy.
