It's a lot more accurate and not a POS with too many moving parts.

No comparison IMO when it comes to hitting point targets. The IAR is far superior. But when you need an area denial weapon, only a belt fed will do. People will argue but I think the SAW should remain in inventory as a mounted / static emplacement weapon while the IAR should be out on patrol.
