Although I’d rather 6 than 8, with the first two rounds at home sites before Christmas. This means each of the top 4 gets one home playoff game, which is more logistically feasible.

Sixteen team playoff would make the post season much more enjoyable to watch on TV rather than a meaningless bowl game. Eight team playoff is definitely needed now. Other than Alabama, the other 7 teams could compete against each other.
