From an economic and business standpoint it's a really smart play. The owners/management can either take some of the revenue at a discount or you get none of the revenue and potentially lose any future business as well. Problem is, those Eagles fans probably aren't from around here so they don't understand the market. Pat Os doesn't hurt for business. As competitive as the restaurant and bar scene is here in New Orleans, the well-known places don't struggle. They would have been better off attempting this power play with a less popular establishment.

People in New Orleans spend all of their disposable income on leisure activities. Mainly, drinking and eating out.

I've lived in other cities and the restaurant and bar scene is pretty sad. Most of them hurt for business and have to put on a lot of promotions and specials to get people in the door. It's cultural. People in a lot of other cities only eat out on special occasions. My mom and my brother, both new orleanians, for example, eat out probably 5-7 times a week. They are both middle income.
