Matrimony DEMANDS a 100 per cent commitment of the self to the other. Nothing can be wwithheld. Nothing. Many marriages fail for this reason, the spouses hold back or are selfish, or crazy.

Holy Orders requires the exact same thing. For a priest, nothing can be held back from the Church. Allowing married priests means that the vows of matrimony or the vows of ordination will not be fully lived.

Maintaining this mindset will assure that the pool of men who would want to become a priest will continue to be populated with only gays, pedophiles, and social deviates.

How so? Explain in your own words. Don't just say "the Vatican says so". Do you honestly think that a Priest couldn't be just as close to God with a wife and family? And by the way, when you get married you become one with your wife under God.
