yep, they eventually got him out of there anyway, he was responsible(as wing commander,) for an ambush type sortie that took out half of the NV MiG-21 inventory in one day

It really was brilliant, too. The old "pretend we're defenseless bombers and murder them to death when they come up to attack" trick.
