Just saw this statistic and find it strange. In Arizona, roughly 75% of all votes are cast by the mail. Even worse, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado are 100% mail-in states. WTF? I never knew 100% mail-in states was even a thing.

I'm sorry, but mail-in ballots are ripe for fraud and is a terrible system. Anyone can just send in a ballot. Sure, you can verify the signature, but do they actually do it for every vote? Most of the time they call the race the same night, so how are they doing any verifying of anything? You aren't verifying signatures in a few hours of ALL votes cast in a state like Washington, Oregon or Colorado. It's impossible.

Here's a map for the various states and how votes are allowed to be cast.

Mail makes sense for extremely rural places but that’s about it. You should have to have an excuse to mail in a ballot, it should be the exception not the rule.

I have voted by mail since I first moved to Florida. Real convenient You do have to seal the envelope and sign over the seal. So you can tell if the ballot has been opened because your signature would not look right Not saying there could be cheaters at the vote counting place. But has worked great in the past.

In my experience, yes, they are highly attuned to it...and only getting better daily at cross-checking them.
