re: Has Burrow peaked? Serviceable but doesn’t seem to be getting better imo.

Why is their this consensus that Burrow is the problem? Is he great right now? No but I would put him at probably the 5th biggest problem on offense at the moment.
1A. O line
1B. Type of offense they are trying to run with this o line
3. No game breaking back. Brosette and CEH have been good but this offense would be 10X better with a great back.
4. No true deep threat wide receiver has emerged. Just a bunch of possession type receivers that aren’t that great a possessing the ball. Give this team a DJ Chark and things look different.
5. Burrow.

Which is disconcerting considering the amount of talent and depth at the wideout position this year.

Dillon and Jefferson are probably our best deep options but we just haven’t hit. JJ2 was open on a go route but he couldn’t haul it in (decent coverage).
Burrow looks most comfortable throwing out the gun or on a 3 step drop. Playmakers gotta make plays.

Burrow is not part of the problem at all. It the O-line.
So an awesome RB would make our offense 10 times better? Hmmmm, yeah, like maybe Leonard Fournette? Fournette never ran for more than 40 yards against Bama. We had a shite O-line then, we have a shite O-line now. Look at the games. Our line is ALWAYS getting pushed backwards as soon as the ball is snapped. They cant run block, they cant pass block. They cant block period. Hell, Bama was tackling our guys with our own guys by shoving them around. It was embarrassing. Burrow is a pretty good passer when he has time, and can go through his progressions. Problem is, he rarely has that kind of time.
