Degrees from LSU and other schools

Does anyone else have a degree or two from LSU and went elsewhere, particularly in the SEC, for their MS/PhD/MBA/etc? What was your experience like?
Mine was for my Doctoral degree at UF and it was during the height of their athletic program (04-07). They couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t pledge my allegiance to the “Gator Nation” BS. At least the Tigers were competitive and winning SEC/National Championships in most sports. I enjoyed my time in Gainesville and proud of this accomplishment, but couldn’t cheer for Urban Crier and his thugs then and can’t do it now.
Just curious if anyone else had good or bad experiences elsewhere.

I have a friend who has degrees from both LSU and Alabama. He is an LSU fan, first and foremost, but he roots for Alabama pretty hard unless they are playing LSU. It's a life I don't think I could lead

I got my pharmacy degree from Ole Miss after amassing 140 hours at LSU. I was in Oxford for the 2003 Eli on his arse game. They completely understood why I didn't switch allegance.
My father was a professor at LSU for 40 years. It's in my blood. I'm grateful that I've never been on a bandwagon. I take the good with the bad. Same goes for the Saints.

The aquatic weed program I studied in was top notch. There’s only a few in the country. I support that side of the academics, but hell no to their sports programs.

Undergrad in Engineering from LSU, and M.S. in Engineering from Univ of Colorado Boulder.
From an academic perspective, LSU Engineering was way harder (but I also partied like a college kid while I was there). At CU, I was an "adult", and sailed through all my classes. I do think LSU Engineering is top-notch, even though you don't hear much about it outside of the south. Tried to get both my kids to LSU, but they stayed in-state.
From a sports perspective, not even close! Football in Colorado is a joke compared to the south.
I will always bleed P&G!

Does anyone know if the MBA program or PhD Economics program is good at LSU?

I got my PhD in Astrophysics at MIT, but no one really tried to push their sports teams on me. They didn't really know or care much about LSU, either.

MBA from Oklahoma State
I’m all in with LSU. But they are very proud of their sports teams and it’s easy to root for them in the Big XII.

MBA at Duke
I was at the LSU-Duke game when “1,2,3,4...Shaq can’t play that game no more”. Wore LSU gear to game. On the receiving end of some heckling.
I do wish the Duke football team well because I like Cutcliffe and believe the players are student-athletes.

-- Undergrad BA from LSU 1986
-- 1 and about a 1/4 semesters of law school at Loyola (New Orleans)-- BLECCHHH!!!
-- Masters in City Planning from Georgia Tech, 1989
Completely enjoyed my years at LSU; learned a lot, had fun, and grew up.
Hated law school, applied to grad school at Georgia Tech and left Loyola as soon as I found out I had received an research assistant position that paid all tuition and fees AND a stipend.
Georgia Tech was great, too-- this was during the oil bust in the late '80s, a good time to get out of S. Louisiana and experience a different place and a booming economy. Grad school is of course different from college; you are focused on one specialty and have a smaller, tighter group of fellow students that you directly interact with, all of whom were cool. Also, just two years of study.
There have been a few times since when my two alma maters have met-- NCAA basketball playoffs, and also two Peach Bowls. I always pull for LSU in those. But I also proudly rep my Yellow Jackets and have seen them in football or basketball when I can, either on TV or in person.

Yeah, she was in psychology which uf is very well respected in. Having Shands on campus helps them tremendously

B.A. from LSU. Law degree from UC Berkeley. As you can imagine, this caused me zero conflicts when it came to sports.
