There's a lot of things I don't know much about. Snakes ain't one of them. I've been keeping, researching, photographing, and catching snakes for over thirty years. There's a shelf full of snake books to my left right now. There are about a dozen snakes in my house at the moment.

Like many said before I chimed in, this is 100%, zero doubt, a cottonmouth.
