Plus, it states that Bama is not the only SEC team that does not have to win its division or league to make it into the playoff system. THAT RIGHT THERE IS A HUGE DEAL!
Some LSU "fans" cry over ever GD thing, good or bad, but can't see the forest through the trees.

We are NOT making it to the CFB playoff. We're at number 7 as a tactical move from the committee and Sugar Bowl officials.
Come on, it's a money hungry sport. You all have to be smarter than this.
If we win out, we're going to the Sugar Bowl/Fiesta Bowl. They put us at number 7 so just in case Bama loses to Georgia, they have an excuse to keep Bama in the playoff. Historically, LSU fans don't travel unless the venue is closer, so they'll probably try to get us for the Sugar Bowl.
I don't feel like getting embarrassed on national TV again, if we make the playoff. Our defense is championship caliber, but the offense is atrocious and hasn't proved otherwise all season.

A 2 loss team that didn’t win their division and got blown out at home is not making the playoff. We looked like If we played Alabama 100 times, they would beat us 100 times. It isn’t happening. Everyone one loss team would jump us.

I think you missed the point. Sure they playoffs would be great, that doesn't mean you dont find a better OC. OC would be the reason you dont win in the playoffs, so you fix it

You missed my point.
If LSU would somehow get INTO the playoffs...by whatever means, it is a bid deal. Period.
You can recruit hard on that.
I did not say a thing about a new OC or anything else. My comments were targeted to those posters on this thread who would seem to cry if we made the playoffs because we might lose again.

People are way over thinking this. All that needs to happen is Ohio St lose to Mich St and then beat Michigan and for OU and West Virginia to split their 2 games. There are many other possibilities but this is the most likely to happen.

This is completely possible, BUT we are witnessing the committee's willingness to factor in quality wins and make judgement calls IN FAVOR of LSU right now. If LSU passes the eye test on their way to winning out then this committee may very well keep LSU ahead of a one loss team. To me, the key is LSU must win convincingly the rest of the way.

I would not vote for LSU under any circumstance after what happened with Bama. Bama is the clear front runner and I’d like to see 3 teams who could possibly score on Bama in the playoff to make it.

You still need to show an ounce of offense though. I think we would get embarrassed. Yeah it's great for recruits, but you don't get recruits if you're offense is always getting exposed
