Exit polls released before poll closings are pretty useless anyways since we have no idea how or why anyone voted. So unless something that is correlated with voting behavior ends up drastically different than expected, then they aren’t very useful regarding the election itself.

Now if instead of Trump’s approval being 44%, pretty consistent with his approval across all the polling, and was 10 points in either direction, then we may be able to infer that if the the voters are disproportionately more or less supportive of Trump, then they’re voting behaviors would be more or less supportive, in the same direction, of things that support Trump.
