Agree, but most people do it when convenient and more times than not, religion is twisted to fit a political view.

Christianity doesn't really advocate the government to do much and that certainly includes abortion. There is more in the bible about helping the poor and needy than about abortion. The problem is people tend to cherry pick their religious beliefs. Therefore many that are pro-life are for capital punishment and opposed welfare and vice versa. Or they may justify their belief in favor of the dealth penalty by quoting the old testament and ignore the new testament when convenient. In other words, people have there beliefs and most just use their religious beliefs to back up their argument. It should be the other way around.
