Those are illegal to use while underway on any navigable water way that falls under coast guard jurisdiction. As stated above anything that interferes with someone seeing your nav lights is illegal.

Also slow down. there was a bad accident last year because some kids were going too fast in the fog. If they had a light bar it didnt help
