I have the DVR and computer screen set up on top of some cabinets in my laundry so I don't hang around enough to notice the noise. Additionally there is usually a washer or dryer running and I don't hear anything over that..
With that being said you made me go listen in complete silence - IMO its no louder than a regular computer hard drive running.

trying to decide between Arlo Pro 2 or Blink XT for outside camera setup.
Since AP2 costs $$$, is it more reliable as far as picture quality, notifications, cloud storage etc, than Blink XT?
