Hell, if I said it was ok to be short, nobody would assume I had some short supremacy leanings or are in favor of oppressing tall people.
What is so bad about being white? White people are just as good as anyone.
I guess I should be what? Ashamed of the white parts of my DNA?

Historically, short people have not been victims of atrocities, enslaved or suffered long-term oppression specifically due to their lack of height and neither have white people due to their race. Protections exist for the purpose of striving for equality as stated in the Declaration of Independence that "All men are created equal". The closer Americans and the human race gets to that, the more those who have held power resist. The problem with the signs is is not the literal statement made but their glaringly obvious intent to claim nonexistent reverse racism. I can not explain the issue any more clearly than this
