LSU/Bama thoughts

Honestly think we are Bama’s worst matchup.
They are serviceable running, but their strength is passing of course. We made Fromm our bitch and today he looked all world against a very good defense. We made Fitz look like Brucie from The Longest Yard and today he looked all world against a decent defense. Our DBs are on another level.
If we can control the clock on offense in the first half, and force them into 3rd and longs, i think we win. And i predict we do win. shite i put $200 on -10 LSU and idgaf. ROLL TIGERS!!!!! <3

Especially in the first half without White. The difference between them having 3-4 first half possessions vs 5-6 first half possessions is the difference in the game and LSU controlling the clock can be that difference.
If it's a 1 score game at the half I think the tiger stadium energy with White starting the 2nd half would be tough for anyone to overcome.

I don’t know why, but something about me has a comfortable feeling about this game. Like i feel from the first snap it won’t be in doubt that we will win. Call me crazy or whatever, but we are winning by 10 or more

The score usually comes to me. I never got one for the Florida game. It was strange at the time.
I always said that LSU would beat Georgia by double digits. I was laughed at but who is laughing now.
I'm starting to get a number but it's still a little fuzzy besides it's so ridiculous that I'm going to give it a few days to see if it clarifies. If not I'm posting the numbers.

This notion that they are going to roll in here and drop 50 is absurd to me.

I think this is going to be a close game and I find it difficult to predict. Bama hasn't played a really good team. The best two teams they played were A&M who got hammered by Miss State and Missouri who lost to Kentucky. Their schedule has not prepared them for a brawl with a strong team. Historically, Saban teams don't take advantage of a bye week as well as most teams, although his teams take good advantage of the time between the SECCG and the bowl games.
This year, Bama's run attack has had trouble burning clock when they have the ball. They either score quick or punt. Either way, their defense doesn't get to rest. And with very few returning starters on D, their backups are less experienced than normal.
The keys to the game will be (1) how much better Bama's D perform compared to their earlier games and (2) how well LSU's offense avoid penalties. LSU may have more trouble overcoming offensive penalties and may have more trouble coming from behind. If Bama can score enough to quieten the crowd and force LSU to abandon the run then Bama wins. If LSU can keep it fairly close going into the 4th, then LSU wins.

Good analysis. It really does come down to if LSU keeps it close in the 1st half. With the stakes on the line in prime time, both teams will play with intensity. Saban coached teams are very disciplined and don’t get phased if they are playing from behind. LSU has to play a full 60 minutes to have a chance. It’s kind of strange but I feel that this would be historically one of LSU’s biggest upsets, and yet its a 1 vs. 4 matchup. I guess not beating a team 7 years in a row will do that.

The key is being able to dedicate 2 safeties to the pass game. White enables that to happen. That is why he’s so vital.

Good. I'm getting the first number but I'm fuzzy on the second.

In all seriousness, do you have the next winning PowerBall numbers?

If LSU stays within 7 in first half we win. I think 31-28 LSU

I am concerned with Bama passing so much we will see a lot of ticky tack or even outright BS PI on our guys playing tight coverage. If anything, hopefully the Devin White BS and all the attention will have the refs under a microscope. However, that doesn’t usually seem to bother the REC officials.

I feel like we will win this year for sure too. Haven’t felt that way since like 2014

If one of your best opponents still doesn't have a conference win 8 games into the season that tells you all you need to know
