Sent two sons to Catholic schools while in BR and spent somewhere around $100,000 when all said and done. Waited till they where on their own and got the hell out an moved to Houston. We drive around on good roads and can't believe the schools we see in the Katy area! Everybody sends their kids to Public schools and why not! That Bridgeland School posted above is near us and it UNREAL!!

Yes the above post is correct. You pay higher property taxes but it is a wash when all cost are considered. Also not mentioned when you go to the grocery store to buy your $100 plus weekly food for the week NO TAX on unprepared food!

Only sorry I did not get out sooner with my family and raise my family here!

My daughter is 4 and in Pre K. Her class has 12 children and 5 families are from Louisiana. I talked to one of the parents a few weeks ago. They remarked they missed Louisiana but are so much better off in Houston. They still have family in Louisiana but 2 of the relatives will be moving to Houston soon (in the burbs). She remarked once they saw a 5BR house with media room, study, and a pool for $325K and higher paying job with excellent schools they were sold. Were reluctant to move for years until they actually came for a visit. Then you have car insurance is 1/2 and electric, etc..We save $403/month on car insurance and electric alone when moved to Houston.

I live in Bridgeland but haven't seen the inside of the highschool yet. Not sure if they have tours or not but will need to check on that.
