In the comics, Frank Castle is horribly outmatched and outclassed when he faces Bullseye. It usually takes the intervention of either Daredevil or Spider-Man to keep Punisher from being worm food.

This season really shows why when they pick a good villain and get a good actor in that role, it makes the season so much better. Purple man in JJ was amazing and S1 was so much better than 2.
The Karen episode was the only lull point in an amazing season.
