I had a Boykin Spaniel get popped by a copperhead many, many moons ago. We were way out in boonies in E. Tennessee. We found a pay phone (pre cell phone days) and called the UT vet school. They said find some Childerens beneydrl and give him a dose. He slept it off and was just fine the next day.

Dogs can take 100mg of beneydrl easy.

Problems from snake bites without treatment, meat rot under the skin. It can get very bad. Most times when a dog gets bit, very little venom gets in them. But if a snake injects a shite load in, that is when there can be big problems.
