Yeah, they are eaten and then everything else can be used as well. Rinellla talks about bears all the time on the MeatEater podcast.

Personally, I'm not ever going to hunt primates, or any other trophy game. That said, I see the merit in the process of hunting certain animals who have been identified as a nuisance or danger to the communities that they live around, and collecting the trophy fees for these hunts, provided those fees are used towards conservation efforts or other good causes within the community.
