Louisiana politics at its finest. As long as powers at be keep their power and the bottom line stays green, the couldn't give two shits about the actual production of the program.

They are driven by money and nothing other than money. LSU football needs to be as profitable as possible so they can take more and more money for academics.
What these narrow minded administrators don't realize is they are hamstringing themselves and hurting themselves in the long run.
