I think he will too. He just isnt' ready to play this year, at least not that much.

He had good instincts on a good bit of plays, just could'nt finish the play. I'd expect those plays to be made as he gets more experience. I would say i saw promising stuff from him, and that him playing instead of Philips played a large part in us losing.

and i've been saying for quite some time now that Battle just isn't good, and i usually get downvoted to high heaven for it. He's not a kid, he's been here for 6 years, and he's not a good safety at all. He's like DJ Welter out there.
reading Lester's notes I got the impression he was making the mistakes freshmen LBs tend to make. They were along the lines of "got sucked into wrong gap" and "blew by _______". No reason to judge him a bust based off of that (not you LE, but others here).

I personally think he's going to be a good one. Also one thing I gleaned, or think I did, from those same notes was that he was displaying good instincts. And that is one thing you can't teach, buy, or cajole into a LB. That is the difference between a RB and a LB.

Battle... different story. I fail to see the value there. I hate it for him, and bless him for battling through some really tough injuries, but we have some young bucks I'd rather see either do better, or take lumps with the same result to be better later.
