No way in hell would I pay that bill. What the auction house is delivering is not what was bid on. If they force my hand, then I'm instantly pressing criminal charges on everyone involved for destroying $1.5 million of my property. I'd also have had an insurance policy worked out before a purchase that large to make sure it was insured the instant the gavel fell. I'm sure the insurance company would love to have a discussion with the police about what was done to the insured property.

It's probably best for everyone to just walk away with no money changing hands and let Bansky have his stupid little publicity stunt. On the other hand, it would be fun to watch someone with money, time, and the ability to hold a grudge nail his arse to the wall over this.

I think it would have been fun to watch the initial reactions of everyone in that room once the mechanical noises started up.
