That makes a suspension at this point even more ludicrous. I guess LSU can keep that one win over Vanderbilt. Yay!
Either ride the season out since it's all forfeit anyway, or fire the guy and move on.
My opinion, if you're in this far after knowing there were FBI wiretaps (and let's all be honest, we all know there was something shady going on) then might as well play it out.
At this point I think there's little to no chance that Will Wade coaches again for LSU, and I think Joe should go down with him. Clean the whole house. Fire Mainieri while you're at it just because he sucks.

They’re withholding the player. Which I don’t agree with. They have to separate from the coach, tho

Play smart. But ncaa is going to hit you with “lack of institutional control” if you don’t distance yourself from Wade. And that’s why he’s indefinitely suspended. Not because he didn’t want to meet
