When these left-wing, paid shills are able to intimidate you into bowing to their demands, you only enable and embolden them, leading to an even worse devolution in public discourse than we already see.

He capitulated. He gave them what they wanted. Dems and progs now think they can continue to intimidate people like Flake through their bullying tactics in elevators and in the back rooms in the Senate. Their followers will take cues from them and do the same in the streets.

Flake threw a huge monkey wrench into the order of things. The Dems wanted to delay the initial testimony with an FBI investigation. That didn't happen. Now that testimony took place, it becomes a crime to lie to Congress. Dr Ford has already exhibited her willingness to lie about her inability to participate in an initial investigation due to her "fear of flying" in spite of having flown to DC 2 weeks prior. Even though she did admit to being untruthful during questioning, she still established her willingness to lie to stall proceedings. This is where the FBI will concentrate its investigation.
