Why do people on CNN think the FBI has to satisfy Grassley or DiFi?

The FBI’s findings will be reported back to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
It’s already been voted out of that Committee, but that’s where the report will be sent to.
But, it’s true that Grassley isn’t in charge of the process from here on out.

That is helpful as I wasn’t sure if it would go to the whole senate or just the committee.

The issue isnt so much the committee itself but the dependency on moderate republican senators who likely wont vote yes if there is some attempt to shove the vote through without a proper review of the report.
