They wouldn’t have confirmed him. He didn’t have the votes. Why does it matter that he didn’t get his committee hearing? It would have been a waste of time.

He wouldn’t have been confirmed by a Republican Senate. The fake outrage about him not getting a confirmation hearing is just that, fake. Or shortsighted.


Of course, all of this goes with the understanding that Merrick Garland’s nomination is not relevant in any way to this process...... unless you are admitting that current events are nothing more than a political tit for tat?

The funny thing is, nobody even bothered to muster much of any of that at the time, much less anything that would be seen as genuine outrage.

Why anyone continues giving this Muh Garland canard any credence at all is beyond me.
