They have a large swath of supporters that’ll eat up anything and everything asked of them no matter what. They don’t need support further than the midterm votes they can get out of them, at least not to finish executing this plan.

I could see them believing that they’d pick up new voters - especially with women - by beating the Republicans over the head with them “silencing this victim” all the way to midterms. That’s exactly on par with how stupid they’ve been thinking..,, for a long time.
