The constant weapon breaking was something I could not get passed. Minor complaint to some, but it was so annoying to me I just couldn’t play anymore.

I don't know if it was because I did not read anything about the game at all but that never really crossed my mind.

It was more like...dammit my weapons keep breaking...I need to find better stuff and not waste it on certain enemies at the moment.

I am really surprised at some of the responses in regards to BOTW. I think I have it as my top Zelda game that I've ever played. I understand how exploring could get tedious for some, but it was my favorite part of the game.

Just to be clear. I really enjoyed the hell out of this game. I just took a break and never really wanted to go back even though I invested like 40-50 hours. Same thing happened to me with fallout 4.

BoTW is a great game but I was not fond of the Beast. I really wish they would have kept with themed temples. The shrines got really old to me. Collecting orbs was just not as rewarding as as hunting heart pieces.

OoT

Twilight princess
Majoras Mask
Then BoTW for me.

^ I think that is just a testament as to how well that franchise has done.
