Honestly I think Bama has a natural built in immunity with the CFB playoff committee with one loss. Sucks? yup.. But it is what it is. Meaning? If LSU lets say beats bama. bama stays home, lsu plays for the title with bama essentially having a bye week. F'd up if you ask me. Its one of the built in flaws of the current format. wasn't deliberate or some maybe say it was.

People looked at me funny when I said it last year, Sab threw the iron bowl last year. Bama was in.

How do you fix it? Either do away with Conference title games which will never happen or make it a prerequisite that you have to win your conference title which imo I don't how I would feel about that. Some years there are two legit teams in a conference that should be in the playoff.

LSU vs Bama for 2011 title started this craziness and LSU vs Bama for 2018 title may force more changes.

The solution is so simple.

1. Go to 6 major conferences. You are in a conference or you get no playoff consideration.

2. Essentially 12 team playoff with conference championship being the de facto first round.

3. Win the conference you are in the real playoff.

4. Top 2 seeds get a bye

Can’t win your division, tough shite.
