If you all are looking for something a little more laid back, you might stay at chimes and drink at the bar or head right next door to Barcadia (I haven't been to the BR location, so someone that has might be able to give you more insight on if this is a good idea).
It's been a long time since I've been but we stopped going because the service sucked. I know they changed ownership so no idea if its improved.
For an alternative to Tigerland I'd reccomend the Perkins/Overpass area. Ivars is always packed with people OPs age. Then you've got Zippys for late night food and/or margs. Overpass Merchant is right there too which has good food and drinks. And just down the road is Uncle Earl's and Bulldog. Bulldog is a good choice if you are a craft beer drinker.
