Yeah, he was. I hated the way he was portrayed in both MoS and BvS, but I knew he was perfectly cast. I do like how Joss Whedon started off Justice League with Superman footage reassuring the audience “Look, ignore the previous assclown, I understand Superman as a character.” From that point forward I was ready to give the film a chance in a way I never gave BvS.

He looked the part to a tee IMO. But I don't think he's a very good actor. I know a lot here do think that, but he kinda sucks IMO. Or he at least certainly did in Man of Steel, BvS, and the last M:I movie.
