Add the Rick Rescorla “Man who predicted 9/11” doc. That ones pretty good.

It’s incredible how far down the tubes CNN’s gone. Aaron Brown was great on 9/11 for CNN. That was his first day of work. What a fricking first day.

Everything seems so surreal. That night before Bush addressed the nation Aaron Brown and two others discuss the importance of Bush’s address. They say no President has spoken words more important since FDR’s speech after Pearl Harbor. That was 60 years prior to 9/11. It really highlights the magnitude of the situation.

This video always stood out to me because of how close they were to the towers. I can’t imagine how the firefighters and everybody in the area felt when they heard those first rumbles let alone all the people who didn’t make it out. I will never forget that day as a 14 year old.

The documentary you should have is by the two French guys that were embedded with the fire squadron.

That was the best documentary. Both of the French brothers really told the stories of what was going on inside the towers and the what was going on outside in the streets.

pee pee pants city. I can't believe he even filmed that thing falling for as long as he did. He must have been in shock. It looks like the scene from a movie.

This was a song dedicated to the nyfd who died that day. They showed pictures of every single one of those firefighters and you can put a face of who sacrificed going into those burning towers to save everybody that was trapped.

One more, I’d also link @AriFleischer ‘s twitter. Every year he does an “as it happened” recap complete with handwritten notes and pictures.

For the younger posters in here, Ari was Bush’s Press Secretary. And a damn good one at that.

Weird thing I learned the other day about that photo, he’s the brother of one of the Village People.

Another

Absolutely horrific. Some jumped out, others were actually blown (sucked?) out. I think those images are some of the most impactful I’ve ever seen. You see the individual humanity and horror that happened that day.

I really can’t look at much on this anniversary and feel for the families who re-live it each year. As painful as it is for me,I can’t begin to understand the depth of what those who lost loved ones in many horrific ways feel on this day. I lose it every year. I pray.

Never going to forget being in school, the teacher freaking out crying, the phones ringing off the hook and my mom coming get me. Could see the smoke from our house in Queens.

I learned everything I needed to know about the radical Islamic terrorism that day.
