Today is my birthday, and I was 5 years old when this tragedy occurred. Although I do not remember much from that day, I vividly remember just seeing two buildings on fire on our TV. We also went to go to Chuck e Cheese (as any 5 year old would want to do) but they and just about every place my family drove to were closed. May God bless those who lost their life, and those who risked everything to save countless lives.

I was in the 5th grade, my teacher was the principals wife and I remember him coming into the classroom (something that never happened) and they announced over the intercom a while after that what had happened. I remember not quite understanding what had happened, but started to understand after I got off school and went to my grandmothers and she had the tv on, then my mom and dad after they had picked my little sister and myself up.

That's pretty sad... did you get to go at a later date?
