Ari Fleischer @AriFleischer As I do every year, tomorrow I will live-tweet my memories of what happened seventeen years ago, on September 11, 2001. I hope everyone will remember and say a prayer for those who were killed and for their families. Time passes by, but what took place must never be forgotten.

Another thing that happened on 9/11 was many phones networks up North were overloaded due to the call volume. People couldn’t place local calls to loved ones. But for some reason, long distance calls were getting through.

I spent part of the morning calling family in Manhattan and Queens and relaying to them that their kids were safe. My elder cousins were going to a doctor’s appointment when I called. I told ‘em, they might want to cancel it and stay home instead.
