Patrick, see if you can't test out some Altra Escalantes. Not sure if the stack height works for you but the underfoot feel is very good.
The 2.0's upper is very good not like the original version.

Thanks, Burt. I have been wondering about them for quite some time. I don't think the stack height matters as much to me as the heel to toe drop and the wide toe box. After running in Altra's for so long, all other shoes feel cramped up front to me now.

Burt, my wife got me those escalate 2.0 for Father’s Day. I’m looking forward to breaking them in next month.
