Reebok Forever Floatride Energy

Went for a 4 mile run right out of the box this evening. Moderate pace for the first 3 miles then speed mile for the last.

The foam is responsive enough. Not great, but not soft either. The upper concerns me with durability. The lip just seems like it will tear relatively easy.

Shoe is light enough. Decent heel support that I feel that I could take these on a flat trail course (unlike the Vaporflys in which I feel like I’ll roll an ankle anytime I get off even surfaces).

I have a hotspot on my right foot on the inside that also concerns me that was really prominent when I was walking around right out of the box. It went away on the moderate paced miles but flared up again on the fast mile. I’ll assume this is more due to not being broken in at the time.

Overall I like them though. Seems like a fast shoe.

I had a completely different experience than you.

My initial reaction was wow and I had a smile on my face the entire time I was in them. For me, this is the perfect training shoe. Definitely not a racing shoe but I don’t think it claims to be.

The foam felt like a more stable Boost or a slightly firmer EGO. Still had some give and bounce though. The upper does fit kind of weird and that worried me but no hot spots developed.

For what it’s worth, I have a narrow foot with high arches. Good shoe.
