It's much easier to lead a bird with both eyes open. Practice with a stationary target and just shoot it over and over again to learn your point of impact. After enough practicing and learning your point of impact your aiming point will become natural. After a while you'll be able to lead your target with both eyes while grabbing your aim with your dominant eye.
