Heading to Montana in Nov.

Bought Carhartt last year, but they kept falling down and I can't stand that.

Opinions would be appreciated!

Merino wool. some like the liner sock to help. I think it feels too bulky. too many variables to dictate which is the best.
for example are you walking/stalking, long hike to the stand or not, what type of boot, etc.
