I typed Medicare instead of Medicaid. Forgive me.

The point still stands, the Governor has the ability to expand either program.

And I'm almost positive "Medicare for All" is designed to be a state-run, single payer system...regardless of age.

It wasn't you who made the ridiculous statement. It was the website linked in the original article. It said Medicare for all. You aren't the originator of the ridiculous statement.

And no, governors cannot change or expand Medicare.

So don't worry about it. I'm not picking on you personally, at least not too much.

Governors can lobby to expand healthcare in their state. See Massachusetts. Hawaii. Kentucky. And basically American history.

CNN good enough for you?

As expected, Gillum is championing Sanders single-payer, "Medicaid for All" plan...

quote:

Andrew believes that healthcare should be a fundamental right, not a privilege. Instead, extreme politicians refuse to acknowledge that Floridians struggle every day to keep themselves and their families from going bankrupt due to the lack or cost of healthcare. Andrew believes that Senator Sanders’ Medicare for All plan will help lower costs and expand coverage to more Floridians.

Are you claiming that states don't have the ability to expand healthcare?
