My two cents...24 hours in Macau is more than enough. It has lost lots of its Portuguese influence, but still worth it.
Two Saturday nights in Hong Kong > 7 nights in Macau.
Agree on Big Buddha.
And pay extra for the hyrdrofoil back and forth to Macau.
Sunday is a fun day in Macau because all of the house staffs (mainly Filipinos) are out and about because they do not work that day. So pubs, picnics, etc are all rocking that day.
