I used to get down voted to oblivion by folks because CFB is sacred etc
Kirby Hocutt has made the CFP just like his school irrelevant and ESPN absolutely has a stake in who is in it since they own it

Oh sure, I'm not complaining about them when they are on but it's weak shite that a huge impediment to a full playoff is the old majors don't want to let go of their waning power to shape football.
It's bad for the game to cut out over half the FBS before the season even starts. I don't get how this is even a question. For the sake of the sport's future it needs to be possible for everyone to win. It's the one thing that would absolutely drive up interest and somewhat break ESPN's ability to control the narrative. It wouldn't matter anymore if your conference did a deal their tv deal with FS1, NBCSN,CBSSN, or even Twitter and Facebook if there was a full playoff as your champ would be in and ESPN couldnt shite talk you and/or ignore you into oblivion.

I think the problem is most people freak out about change.
The thing is the old ways of CFB are not coming back.

Yeah, I just have to shake my head at that. The "what if a 4 loss team gets in" cries are silly. Who cares? If you lose 4 then you get to be seeded at the arse end of the tourney. Problem solved.
