Sony TV 65” or TV suggestions

Sony XBR-65X930E 65-inch 4K HDR Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2017 Model)
Anybody know anything regarding this one. Usually 1900 on sale for 1300 I believe. Any experience with it? Or if you have any other suggestions I’ll hear them. Trying to stay under $1,500 or so. And when is the best time to buy a tv? I’m sure Labor Day has all kind of sales? I don’t wanna wait til cyber Monday but will if it’s the absolute best time and deals. Thanks in advance

I bought that tv from best buy 2 months ago for $850 with a 5 year warranty when they were liquidating since the 2018 models came out. Great tv. 4k movies look amazing.

I have this TV. You will love it. 4K looks great!
I got the new Apple TV4k and am able to stream Saints games with the Fox app in 4K. It looks so awesome!

I saw it on slick deals. I don’t believe it’s on sale anymore. I’ve been monitoring to se if anything else comes about as I didn’t pull the trigger.

I have a Sony 55, and it is nice, but the damned thing failed 3 times in the first year. They fixed it a couple times (the power module is a cheap POS and kept going out), then replaced it.
The replacement TV is doing fine, so the first one must have been flawed. Two friends who also bought the same model had better luck.
Wirecutter loves the TCL 65 (and 55) 6-Series with built in Roku software. The 2018 model of the 65 goes for about $999 on Amazon. The 2017 and smaller sizes are much less. Worth a look.
