The University of Miami had its final fall scrimmage on Wednesday at Miami Southridge High School, a closed practice game of sorts that spotted “LSU’’— the team made up of pretty much everyone but the first-team UM players — a 17-0 lead going into the (mythical) third quarter, said Canes coach Mark Richt, who wanted the starters to have a sense of urgency.
The winner?
Miami, 28-27.

Before you get too excited, be aware that this scrimmage, which used to have “pure tackling’’ in the past, Richt said, was done Wednesday with the players in “just shorts and helmets.’’

That's what happens when you have LSU next on your schedule. Come get some!

Why would Mark Richt admit and phrase it that way? It just makes them look retarded. Richt is Les Miles with a slightly better speech pattern but way less success

Which still makes him exponentially more intelligent than Eaux

Awesome!! Looks like we can be 2-0 versus LSU in a matter of a few weeks. Can’t recall the last time that ever happened but I’ll take it. 13-0 here we come ??. That was sarcasm for those of you without a sense of humor.

So they beat “LSU” made up of their own players playing flag football????
Are they printing the shirts now? What a sad bunch!

Their fans are extremely confident, even in person...
I love it.

Lets be clear. The 2nd team was spotted a total of 24 points. By the end of the first quarter played, the score was 24-17. "Team Miami", the first team, had already completed the comeback.
Richt then proceeded to spot the 2nd team another 7 points to make it more interesting. He created a fake turnover situation in which team "LSU" had a scoop and score. Defense did not struggle one bit.
Good Luck guys! You will need it.
