I don't like taking refugees in because the only reason they're coming is because they're running from something, not because they wanted to be part of the American experience.

My family farmed, now just leases. Farmers are generally decent people, but farming isn't some transferable skill to other industries. Maybe they could come in and work for a corporate farm? But do they know how to farm in the US?

As I understand it, farming in SA is extremely complicated due to limited water resources. Bringing that knowledge here could be helpful.

My point is that these aren't laborers from Guatemala with a 2nd grade education. They'd be a net positive.
