They were expecting Pettigrew to be TE #2 to complement Moreau as on-the-line TEs to use in ace 1 back, 2 TE sets. They used Pettigrew a lot last year in this role with Moreau. Pettigrew is really good...

Moss is more a flex out stand up TE.

Washington SHOULD be Pettigrew's replacement, but he hasnt done a thing in 4 years already, he's entering year 5 and you cant expect much out of him.

Moffitt, havent heard a lick about, might be like his brother Clay on the baseball team and just not a realistic option to play.

Sheffler is similar to Moss, flex out stand up TE more so right now.

King, Smith and Mayea are all walk ons.

In the end you kind of have to separate the Moss/Shefflers from the Moreau/Pettigrew/Washingtons. They trust those last 3 more so to put their hand down and block than the others. Where Moffitt falls, probably more like a FB than TE honestly. Ducre is not a real option at TE, I imagine they shift him around just to try and find something for him to do.
